Helping you understand the rules of the trading program & fair trading within Bartercard

This booklet has been designed to help you understand how Australian law applies to trading within the Australian Bartercard exchange. Fostering a fair and equitable exchange promotes alignment of your expectations as a member which creates transparency and a positive experience every time you trade.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) promotes competition and fair trade in Australia to benefit consumers, businesses and the community. The ACCC administers the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. Members must not engage in ‘unfair practices’ in trades with other Bartercard members. To assist in defining what is fair, Bartercard Australia has issued this booklet which takes into account the rules of the Bartercard exchange that members agree to when they join Bartercard and recommendations for compiling your directory description.
